The Evolution of Kylie Jenner
It’s no secret that Kylie Jenner has changed a lot in just a few short years. The beauty mogul, busy at work on her ever growing business empire, is just 18, but her looks are far from the playful, fresh-faced kid that debuted on Keeping Up With The Kardashians back in 2007.
Even though Kylie was about 10-years-old when the show, which has boasted nearly 30 million views since its inception, first aired, Jenner’s evolution from fashion-challenged pre-teen to the bodacious, trend-setting woman we know today is one of the hottest topics in Kardashian-Jenner news.
While the reality star has admitted to using lip fillers (remember when the rumor mill was ripe with speculation for almost a year), Kylie’s famous pout isn’t the only thing that’s changed in a couple years.

Look at that face!
Kylie’s looks have definitely changed over the years! With a natural hair color and complexion, and obviously less plump lips, she looks just like any other pre-teen girl.
Playing Dress Up With Kendall
Fast forward a year to Kylie at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango, and she looks slightly more mature.
With a printed skirt and UGG boots, she’s still a bubbly 11-year-old, and complements Kendall’s neon-hued and age-appropriate ensemble.
The Transformation Begins
Here we can see Kylie started to borrow outfits from her older sisters’ wardrobes.
In this floral printed mini dress and heels, Kylie begins setting the stage for her epic transformation as she attends a record release party. She also seems a lot tanner.
Not Your Average 13-year-old
Oh, how she’s grown.
Donning a skin-tight dress and caged heels, Kylie proves that she isn’t really your average 13-year-old. However, her awkward pose translates to ‘teenager playing dress up in mom’s closet.’
Red Hair Don’t Care
It’s a year later, and Kylie is still feeling a little uncomfortable in front of the paparazzi’s cameras.
In keeping with the ‘pretty punk’ theme of Avril Lavign’s fashion line Abbey Dawn, Kylie opts for super heavy eye makeup, dark nails and subtly experiments with her hair color.
This is the last year Kylie will ever look as subtle as she does here.
In a simple leather mini skirt and tee, her hair is noticeably lighter, her makeup more natural, and her lips are the same size they’ve always been.
The Transformation Is Complete
In just two short years, Kylie manages to plump up her pout, embrace the art of contouring (which completely airbrushes her natural freckles), and begin her marathon of hair extensions.
Here she is at the Los Angeles Mission serving Thanksgiving meals to the homeless, which she attended with then-rumored boyfriend Tyga.
Also, her red carpet style is completely different from her wannabe-punk look back in 2011 at Avril Lavign’s fashion debut. She seems more confident, a lot edgier, and isn’t afraid to embrace her newfound sex appeal.
Fashion Forward Kylie
2015 was the youngest Kardashian’s year.
She was dubbed the most famous Kardashian by The Daily Beast, launched a colossally popular web app on iTunes (rumored to have added $15 million to the young star’s net worth), turned 18, and snagged multiple endorsement deals. Oh, and she also posed in a super-daring leather ensemble as a ‘real life blow-up doll’ for Interview magazine. Oh how she’s grown!
This is also the year that Kylie decided to get real with fans and the public, revealing that she had lip fillers done, slips on shape-wear to perfect that signature Kardashian hour glass frame, and regularly wears a push-up bra to give the illusion of ample cleavage.
In an ugly-duckling-to-beautiful-swan-like fashion, Kylie Jenner’s evolution peaks here. She mirrors the Kardashian-Jenner clan’s affinity for body hugging, neutral glam style en route to the Balmain MET Gala after party, all while maintaining a certain sense of individuality with a shoulder length bob.
While this isn’t the wildest of Kylie’s looks, it does speak to what we could expect from her in the future. However, Kylie tends to be the most chameleon-like in terms of style, so who knows how far she’ll go next year.
