Twitter Is Really Confused By Daniel Craig’s ‘New’ Face

Daniel Craig sent fans wild on Twitter with his appearance at the recent BAFTA Awards and not in a good way. Known for his chiseled good-looks and tough guy persona, the 007 star looked barely recognizable as he presented the award for Best Film at the ceremony in London. With a puffy, bloated, and suspiciously smooth face, fans over on Twitter wondered what had happened to the British hunk?

Craig’s face was labeled “old”, “waxy” and “plastic” by viewers on Twitter, who seemed completely confused by the actor’s new look. One early commenter asked: “Why does Daniel Craig’s face look like that?”. Another viewer seemed to sarcastically add: “So Daniel Craig’s face looks… fresh #EEBAFTAs'”

The Sun

Some fans pointed out that perhaps Craig wasn’t feeling his best and the puffiness was down to an allergic reaction. One wrote: “Has Daniel Craig had an allergic reaction to something?” Not everyone was put off by Craig’s appearance with many fans saying he looked as good as ever: “What’s wrong with Daniel Craig’s face? Answer Absolutely nothing! Leave him alone! He looks bloody gorgeous!”

Surgery Confession

Many speculated that Craig might have had botox or “work” done on his gorgeous face, something he’s admitted to in the past. Daniel was forced to have surgery after an on-set accident while filming one of the Bond films.

Speaking to Elle Magazine in 2008, he revealed he severed his finger and had eight stitches on his face after a Quantum of Solace co-star accidentally kicked him. He said: “It’s a stupid inconvenience because we had to stop filming. But they gave me an excellent plastic surgeon.”

The Return Of Bond

Let’s hope he’s back to his normal self by the time they start filming Bond 25. Despite previously saying he “would slit his wrists” rather than play Bond again, Craig will return as Ian Fleming’s famous super spy.
