Canadians Collide: Celine Dion And Deadpool Join Forces For An Unreal Performance

The marketing for Deadpool 2 has been absolutely ridiculous. Fans don’t know where the Merc with a Mouth will show up next. With the help of a Grammy award-winning singer, things got a bit more insane.

Let Beauty Come Out Of Ashes

Celine Dion shocked everyone when she revealed she was a part of the Deadpool 2 soundtrack. In a YouTube video, she sings her new song “Ashes” in an empty theater. Things look normal until Deadpool arrives to start dancing to this tune in high heels.

At the end of the video, Deadpool questions why she’s even part of the soundtrack. “It’s too good. This is Deadpool 2, not Titanic. You’re, like, an 11. We need to get you down to a 5, 5 and a half tops,” he said. Dion gets in the last word, though. “Listen, this thing only goes to 11. So beat it, Spider-Man,” she says. The music video has almost 20 million views so far.

Move Your Feet

In a behind the scenes video, Deadpool explains the history of his dancing moves. “I haven’t done any dancing since I moved out from Canada in ’98,” he says.

In reality, dancer Yanis Marshall was the one with the glorious moves on stage. “This man is not just a dancer. He’s an elite athlete, hero, and all-around hilarious person,” Ryan Reynolds said on Instagram.

Music For Your Soul

Since its release, “Ashes” has found itself rising in the charts. The song peaked at number 28 on the Adult Contemporary chart and number eight on the New Zealand Heatseekers. The Deadpool 2 soundtrack will also feature a new track from Diplo, French Montana, and Lil Pump titled “Welcome to the Party.”
