Brother Comforts Baby Sister Who’s Scared of the Car Wash

When Alyssa went to the drive-in car wash with her four-year-old son Declan and one-year-old daughter Raleigh, she thought it would be a normal ride. However, it turned out to be a nightmare for little Raleigh as she was terrified of going through the car wash.

Unfortunately, there was no turning back for the family since they were already next in line when the one-year-old started crying and there were already tons of cars waiting behind them. “I did not realize how frightened she would be but by the time she really started crying there was a line of cars behind us so the only way home was to drive through,” Alyssa said. While the baby kept on crying, her brother tried to calm her down by explaining the situation and holding her hand.

In a video of the incident, one can see and hear Declan comforting his little sister, saying: “We are gonna get home real fast!”.

“We won’t die,” the brother candidly added. Alyssa said that she couldn’t help but film the ride because Raleigh was getting pretty loud.

“She is a loud and fierce crier and I couldn’t help but document her car wash reaction. Declan offering her moral support was just extra cuteness to boot,” Alyssa said. Apparently, the mom was no longer surprised that Declan was comforting his sister during her drive-in car wash ordeal since he was naturally protective of her.

“Deco is the sweetest brother, always cheering her up when she is crying. He is very sensitive and is confident in his ability to make her smile and/or laugh when she is sad,” Alyssa said. “He can be a bit rough with her but she trusts him completely and he is always noticing her mood and protective of her. He is such a sweetie when it comes to his sister.”
