5 Legendary (Crazy) Adam West Antics From The Set Of ‘Batman’

It’s been a year since Adam West passed away, and fans are still in mourning. Fortunately, his legacy as Batman will live on forever. While filming the iconic show, West managed to get into some wild situations. Get to the Batmobile and check out these unreal things West did, including getting banned from a city!

Dressed To Impress

Batman was Adam West’s most beloved role. He enjoyed it so much that he went to parties dressed as the Caped Crusader. He wasn’t alone at times; co-star Frank Gorshin joined him in his Riddler attire. Unfortunately, some people didn’t find it so funny. On occasion, West was kicked out of the celebration.

Life Of The Party

West was a big fan of partying. One night, he did something that would make Andrew W.K. proud. Following an intense party that involved the cops, West was banned from Aspen, Colorado. The ban lasted quite a while, too. “About 15 years later, I had a letter from the Aspen authorities saying it would be OK to come back – to visit,” he told The Independent.

A Permanent Reminder

Getting a logo on your arm is one thing, but putting one on your tooth is insane. West’s old dentist friend decided to surprise the actor with some new ink – the bat logo on his tooth. As one would expect, that didn’t make West happy at all. Surprisingly enough, the logo was still on his tooth before he passed away.

A Holy Meeting

West actually met Pope Paul VI in a rare meeting. The only problem was that he was completely hungover before the event. “He put out his hand. I realized that, if I knelt down, I wouldn’t be able to get up again, I was so hung over,” he told The Independent.

Sister, Sister

Around the time of Batman, West was already moving past his second ex-wife. He became a ladies man while shooting the series. He was always seen with a different lady each day of the week. He also managed to date sisters Natalie and Lana Wood. Natalie earned three Oscar nominations for her work while Lana was a Bond girl in Diamonds Are Forever.
