Actors and actresses put a lot of thought, time, and energy into their movies and TV shows. A lot of their projects, especially their major successes, mean a lot to them and, of course, their fans. So it’s no surprise that many choose to pay tribute to their time on set through meaningful tattoos. Here are a few examples.

Sophie Turner, ‘Game of Thrones’

As a nod to her character Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner got the Stark house symbol tattooed on her forearm with the words “the pack survives.” The saying is part of a longer line from the highly acclaimed series, which reads, “When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.”

The Entire ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Cast

A big part of this teen-hit drama series was the infamous “A” who plagued the main characters throughout its time on air. The series wrapped after seven successful seasons. Then the cast, including Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, and Troian Bellisario, decided to get tattoos together. They inked themselves with the respective first letter of each of their character names.

Emilia Clarke, ‘Me Before You’

Most recognize Emilia Clarke for playing Daenerys in Game of Thrones. But it seems her role in Me Before You also had a significant impact on the actress. Clarke decided to get a bumblebee tattooed on her finger, similar to the one her character, Lou, had in the book/film.

Selena Gomez and Cast, ’13 Reasons Why’

The 13 Reasons Why TV series centers around a girl who committed suicide. One of the main characters, Clay, gets a semicolon tattoo in her wake. The tattoo is part of Project Semicolon, which exists in real life as a way to spread awareness and support for suicide and psychological health. After the first season wrapped, some of the show’s cast members, including Tommy Dorfman and Alisha Boe, as well as the show’s producer, Selena Gomez, all got matching semicolon tattoos on their wrists.
