Surprise Actor Rejoins Robert Downey Jr. For ‘Avengers 4’—SPOILERS Ahead!

When it comes to Avengers 4, everyone’s trying to prevent spoilers from coming out. Unfortunately, several things have slipped through the cracks in recent months. Now, a familiar face is slated to make their return. As expected, there are spoilers below. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Founding Member Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Robert Downey Jr. is filming reshoots for the film, and he’s not alone. Joining him in select scenes is Mad Men star, John Slattery. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he portrays Howard Stark.

Marvel

He made his debut in the 2010 movie Iron Man 2 and has made cameo appearances in Ant Man and Captain America: Civil War.

Back To The Future

When it comes to Avengers 4, it’s quite puzzling how he would exactly fit in. A major rumor about Avengers 4 involves time travel in order to save the world. This was evident by the appearance of Aaron Taylor-Johnson on the set. He portrayed Quicksilver in 2015’s Age of Ultron. The hero sacrificed his life by protecting Hawkeye from gunfire. Many of the stars were also seen wearing their attire from the old films.

Marvel

Tony could possibly speak to Howard through some advanced technology. Howard died well before Thanos’ rise, so it will be interesting to see what he would have to say. Perhaps it could simply be another memory in Tony’s head.

The Beginning Of The End

Whatever the situation, it all goes down in the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stated this movie wraps up the first three phases of the massive franchise. Before this epic blockbuster, the world will be properly introduced to Captain Marvel on March 8.

Marvel

Avengers 4 will be released on May 3, 2019. An official title for the film will be released in the near future.
