A great movie can make you do a lot of things. One thing they tend to do is cover your faces in tears. There’s nothing like walking out of a movie theater following a good cry. Here are five films that will have you watching with some Kleenex nearby.

The Green Mile

The Green Mile follows a corrections officer that has a life-changing experience when he meets prisoner John Coffey. Late actor Michael Clarke Duncan earned universal praise for his performance as Coffey. Based on the Stephen King novel, the film gained four Oscar nominations and earned two People’s Choice Awards.

Into The Wild

Into the Wild is based on the real-life travels of Chris McCandless, who traveled throughout the country. He tries to live in the Alaskan wilderness, but many obstacles lead to his unfortunate demise. The film, directed by Sean Penn, won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song with Eddie Vedder’s “Guaranteed.”

Super
